Physical Damage or a Broken Component: What to Do

A broken button or a damaged fader can be concerning, but rest assured, your Yaeltex controller was designed from the ground up to be repaired, not replaced. Our core philosophy is "Design Against Obsolescence," and this is where that promise comes to life.

If a component on your controller is physically damaged or stops working, here is a clear, step-by-step process to get it fixed.

Step 1: Contact Our Support Team Immediately

The very first step is to get in touch with us. Our technical support team will diagnose the issue with you and determine the best path forward.

  • Email Us: Send an email to support@yaeltex.com.
  • Include Key Information: To help us solve your issue faster, please include the following in your email:
    • Your original order number.
    • A clear description of the damage or the issue.
    • Photos or a short video of the affected component. This is extremely helpful for our team to see exactly what's wrong.

Step 2: The Repair Process - Your Options

Once we've diagnosed the problem, we'll work with you on the solution. Thanks to the fully modular design of your controller, fixing a single component is straightforward.

  • Option A: We Ship You a Replacement Module (DIY Repair)

For most issues, this is the fastest and easiest solution. We can ship you a brand new replacement module for the broken part (e.g., a fader element, a button element). Because your controller is designed to be opened, swapping out a module is a simple process that you can do at home. This means you don't have to send your entire controller anywhere.

  • Option B: Send Your Controller to Our Workshop

For more complex issues or if you're not comfortable performing the repair yourself, you can send your controller to one of our official technical support and repair centers, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Barcelona, Spain. Our team will perform the repair and get your controller back to you in perfect working order.

A Note on Warranty Coverage

  • 1-Year Limited Warranty: All Yaeltex controllers come with a one (1) year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. This includes faults in materials or workmanship that occur during the build process.
  • What Isn't Covered: The warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, liquid spills, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.

Our support team will assess the damage and let you know if the repair falls under the warranty. Even if the damage is not covered by warranty, we are still committed to helping you repair your instrument at a fair cost for the parts and labor involved.

Your Yaeltex controller is an investment in a lifetime instrument. Our commitment to modularity and repairability ensures it can stay on your desk and in your creative workflow for years to come.
