Understanding the Yaeltex Product Warranty
At Yaeltex, we stand behind the craftsmanship and quality of every custom controller we build. Our warranty is designed to give you peace of mind, ensuring your investment is protected against manufacturing defects.
This article provides a clear overview of our warranty policy, including what it covers, its duration, and how to make a claim.
Warranty Coverage: What We Guarantee
All Yaeltex controllers are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty, effective from the original date of purchase.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects. This means we guarantee that your controller will be free from faults in:
- Materials: Issues with the components we use, such as the wood, aluminum, knobs, faders, or internal electronics.
- Workmanship: Faults that occurred during the assembly and testing process at our workshop.
If a problem arises due to a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the affected component or controller at our discretion.
What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
It is important to understand what is not classified as a manufacturing defect. The warranty does not cover damage or issues resulting from:
- Accidents or Misuse: Damage caused by drops, liquid spills, improper storage, or use outside of normal operating conditions.
- Improper Power Supply: Using a power adapter that does not meet the specified requirements for your controller.
- Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Any damage caused by attempts to disassemble, modify, or repair the controller by anyone not authorized by Yaeltex.
- Normal Wear and Tear: This includes cosmetic issues that do not affect functionality, such as minor scratches on the case, gradual fading of finishes, or the natural aging of the wood over time.
- Software or Third-Party Issues: Problems related to third-party software (DAWs), operating system incompatibilities (beyond standard MIDI compliance), or issues caused by connecting to faulty external equipment.
Is the Warranty Transferable?
Yes. If you sell your Yaeltex controller to someone else, the warranty is transferable. The new owner will be covered for the remainder of the original one-year warranty period, provided they can supply the original order details as proof of purchase date.
