Orders & Shipping
Q: Do you ship to my country?
A: Yes, we ship our custom MIDI controllers worldwide! We partner with reliable international couriers like FedEx to ensure your controller reaches you safely. Once your order is dispatched from our workshop in Buenos Aires, you will receive an email with tracking information.
Q: If I place an order now, when will I receive my controller?
A: We handcraft our controllers in production batches to ensure the highest quality. When you place an order, it is assigned to the next available batch. The estimated shipping timeframe for that batch (e.g., "Batch X, shipping in [Month]") is displayed on our website's main page and during checkout. This is the date it leaves our workshop; final delivery depends on international transit times.
Q: What is the deadline to be included in the current production batch?
A: The cut-off date for each batch is typically displayed on the main page of our website. If you order after the deadline, your controller will be automatically assigned to the next production batch.
Q: Can I pay extra for expedited production?
A: Our batch system ensures fairness and quality for all orders. However, depending on our workload, we may be able to offer a priority or rush service for an additional fee. Please contact us at sales@yaeltex.com before placing your order to inquire about feasibility and receive a quote. This option is not always available.
Design & Customization
Q: Can I use the empty space near the top of the controller for my own elements?
A: That specific space is internally reserved for essential electronics, including our core processing board, the Kilomux, and connectivity ports. While it may look empty in the Factory, it is crucial for the controller's functionality and cannot be used for placing additional elements.
Q: Can I get the wooden side panels in a different color or material?
A: Our signature controllers feature beautiful side panels handcrafted from light-colored Lenga wood. This is our only standard option. For completely custom cases, please contact us at sales@yaeltex.com to discuss a "bespoke project."
Q: Can I order my controller without the Yaeltex logo?
A: The Yaeltex logo is our subtle mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. If you have a strong preference for your controller not to feature our logo, please contact us at sales@yaeltex.com before finalizing your order to discuss the possibilities.
Q: Can I put my own logo or custom graphics on the front panel?
A: Yes, absolutely! You can upload your own high-resolution image (300 DPI is ideal) as the background in the "Appearance" view of the Factory. For vector files (.AI, .SVG) or specific placement needs, you can email your graphics to us at sales@yaeltex.com with your project name. Please ensure you have the legal right to use any images you provide.
Q: My uploaded image looks blurry or misaligned in the Factory preview. Will it print like that?
A: Please don't worry! The web preview is a dynamic representation and may not be perfect. Before any controller goes to print, our design team performs a thorough pre-production check. If we notice any potential issues with resolution or alignment, we will contact you to provide a revised proof or request a higher-quality file.
Q: I'm stuck in the Factory and can't add more elements. What's wrong?
A: This usually happens for one of two reasons:
- Element Limits Reached: Our hardware has a maximum capacity for each type of component. Please check the hardware calculator in the Factory to see if you have reached a limit.
- Browser Issues: Occasionally, a browser glitch can cause problems. Try refreshing the page, clearing your cache, or using a different browser (we recommend Chrome or Firefox).
Q: Do you sell hard cases for your controllers?
A: We do not currently offer official Yaeltex-branded hard cases. However, every controller includes a beautiful, custom-fitted soft flight case that provides excellent protection for transport and storage.
Pricing & Payments
Q: How much will I pay in import taxes or customs duties?
A: ||| Import taxes and fees are determined by your country's customs authorities and are your responsibility as the recipient. Yaeltex has no control over these charges and cannot predict them. We strongly recommend you contact your local customs office for an accurate estimate before ordering.
Q: Do you offer discounts for artists or educators?
A: Our pricing is set to reflect the custom, handcrafted nature of our instruments. As such, we generally do not have standard discount programs. For potential collaborations or specific educational projects, you can reach out to us at partnerships@yaeltex.com with a detailed proposal.
Functionality & Modules
Q: Do you offer motorized faders?
A: Motorized faders are on our long-term development roadmap, but they are not currently available as a standard option in the Factory. Please subscribe to our newsletter on the Yaeltex website to be the first to know about new developments.
Q: Can I use my controller as a standalone sequencer?
A: No. Yaeltex controllers are versatile MIDI controllers, not standalone instruments. They do not have an internal sound engine or sequencer. They are, however, expertly designed to control sequencing software on your computer or external hardware synths with deep customization.
Warranty & Returns
Q: What is the warranty policy?
A: All Yaeltex controllers come with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers faults in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear. If you believe you have a warranty issue, please contact support@yaeltex.com.
Q: Can I return my custom controller if I change my mind?
A: Because each controller is a unique instrument, handcrafted to your specific design, we do not accept returns for refund or exchange based on a change of mind. If your controller arrives with a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately so we can make it right.
Website & Accounts
Q: Are my Yaeltex.com and Factory app accounts the same?
A: No, they are separate systems.
- Factory Account: This is used to save and manage your custom controller designs within the Factory app.
- Website Account: This is for our main website, which may be used for general shop purchases or community forums.
